As I explore new ideas, I often create small sketches. Freeing myself from any expectations of a perfect outcome, I’m able to grow in my artistic practice. And often, counterintuitively, when I free myself from any lofty expectations, the result is a painting that I love. The painting then represents the growth that comes when we let ourselves be free to explore.
